In this position...
As a CAE Integration Supervisor at Ford Motor Company you will play a pivotal leadership role in driving the integration and application of advanced CAE processes throughout the vehicle development lifecycle. You will lead a team of talented CAE engineers ensuring the successful delivery of CAE-related milestones fostering consistency in modeling practices and championing the adoption of emerging technologies including AI/ML to revolutionize simulation and analysis processes. You will be instrumental in bridging technical expertise with strategic program execution ensuring our virtual validation efforts are efficient accurate and aligned with Fords Global Product Development System (GPDS).



Responsibilities

What youll do...

  • Lead mentor and manage a team of CAE Integration Engineers fostering a collaborative positive and high-performance work environment.

  • Provide technical guidance coaching and career development opportunities to team members.

  • Provide leadership to ensure that the assigned programs CAE-related deliverables are met at critical engineering milestones including End-to-End CAE Analytical Progression for Milestone Signoff.

  • Be knowledgeable about the Analytical process key milestone Analytical deliverables and the strategic role of CAE in product development ensuring team alignment and execution.

  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination among various functional and attribute CAE teams.

  • Lead co-creation efforts to develop and validate countermeasures facilitate cross-attribute optimization and validation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive design improvements and communicate program status to senior management.

  • Lead delivery of complex input data to ensure quality model builds analyses and timely issue resolution across attributes.

  • Provide leadership to ensure consistency and standardization in CAE models and methodologies used across multiple vehicle attributes.

  • Drive the strategic adoption and implementation of AI/ML techniques to enhance CAE processes including predictive modeling simulation optimization and accelerated development cycles.

  • Manage resources for CAE activities ensuring efficient utilization and adherence to budgets.



Qualifications

Youll have...

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering

  • 5 years of experience in Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) within the automotive or a related industry.

  • 3 years of demonstrated knowledge of vehicle development processes and milestones.

  • 2 years of leadership experience including managing or supervising technical teams.

  • 1 years of experience using CAE tools and methodologies (e.g. structural thermal NVH safety analysis).

  • 1 years of experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems (e.g. 3DX SDM TeamCenter) for engineering data management and collaboration.

Even better you may have...

  • Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering Civil Engineering or a related field.

  • Experience with specific CAE software suites (e.g. ABAQUS LS-DYNA Nastran ANSA HyperMesh).

  • Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g. Python MATLAB SysML) for automation and data processing.

  • Experience or strong understanding of AI/ML applications in engineering simulation or data analysis.

  • Excellent communication interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Professional engineering certification

  • Experience in project management
