The externals group are working with a Large commercial roofing contractor who run multi-state operations They are on the look out for an experienced Business Development Manager to take lead in the following:

Job Info: As a Business Development Manager You will take lead of not only the sales but also the marketing share side of the business within a specific territory to build strong relationships covering B2B sales. Your experience should demonstrate a strong track record in successfully selling to other businesses and the ability to build a strong portfolio of accounts using means of event networking referrals and prospecting. This position would require the ability to work efficiently on a computer as well as being comfortable working at a desk for long periods of time.

General responsibilities include:

Develop a successful sales strategy within your territory to increase market share as well as creating a steady plan for future sales using the tools provided.
Use techniques such as networking cold calling & prospecting to acquire new customers while maintaining current client relationships.
Evaluate customer needs to provide as much relevant information so the team can provide accurate proposals.
Work closely with Sales Reps estimators and other support staff to ensure a smooth process for clients Providing excellent customer service throughout.
Successfully track performance and create an accurate financial analysis on the completion of the job.

Requirements:

Proven track record of in portfolio building & B2B sales
Strong networking customer communication organization & time management skills
A minimum of 5 years experience in roofing construction or industrial sales is required
Flexibility to travel locally as and when needed.
A powerful drive for sales.
