Job Summary
Your Responsibilities
- You ensure the availability of all special tools for combustion engines in the BU Combustion Enginer after Start of Production
- You identify tool needs in collaboration with Development Prototype Workshop Production Service Documentation and Training teams for Liebherr in Bulle and Colmar
- You cooperate with development partners to define special tools
- You design special tools for customers and field service technicians
- You coordinate with suppliers supplier management and strategic purchasing
- You create and maintain item numbers drawings and 3D data in Windchill
- You test and approve new tools
- You contribute to pricing and marketing strategies andconduct benchmarking to evaluate tools and processes
- You identify design improvements and feed them back into development
- You support editors with proofreading and reviewing service documentation especially repair manuals
- You assist with the translation of technical documentation
- You record standard times for key operations and repairs
- You support the Life Cycle Cost (LCC) team in coordination with Customer Service Management
Your Profile
- You hold a Bachelors or Masters degree Mechanical Engineering Engine Technology or similar
- You bring 35 years of professional experience ideally as a design engineer
- You have excellent knowledge of combustion engines
- You are skilled in design engineering and technical drawings
- You are proficient in mechanical automotive or engine technologies
- You combine strong technical understanding with practical hands-on experience
- You are fluent in English and German
