DescriptionAs an Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell you will play a critical role in the design implementation and management of complex systems and solutions that drive innovation safety and efficiency in the aerospace industry. You will work within cross-functional teams on cutting-edge projects that transform the way aircraft operate. Your expertise in systems engineering project management and technical guidance will be instrumental in shaping the future of technology and industry solutions.
You will report directly to SrSystems Engineering Manager and youll work out of our Mississauga ON location on a hybrid work schedule.
You will be working on aircraft development programs at Honeywell. You will be working with a team of Control Systems Engineers to develop detailed software specifications for Environmental Control Systems. Control Systems Design team is currently supporting projects for a variety of customers and applications including commercial military and urban air mobility platforms.
The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP security clearance.
ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop closed-loop controls design
- Develop simulation models of thermal mechanical systems
- Develop hardware and software requirements specifications
- Perform hardware software and system integration testing
- Write system verification plans andprocedures
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful design integration and requirement compliance
- Travel to internal and external customer sites to provide Control Systems Engineering support
- Demonstrate outstanding performance in a team environment to meet intensive task schedule for assigned project(s)
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Systems Design Aerospace Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years experience with requirements management and closed loop control design
- Minimum 3 year of experience with DOORS or MATLAB

- Demonstrated application of advanced skills in DFSS/ Six Sigma and Integrated Product Development System
- Ability to proactively identify and resolve problems in an effective/efficient/organized manner
- Good listening and negotiating skills
- Ability to deal tactfully ethically and confidently with internal and external customers to resolve system issues
- Knowledge of DO-178C DO-331 ARP4754 and ARP4761
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
