Performs responsible technical field and office work for complex crime scene investigations documenting crime scenes evidence identification collection processing preservation and submission; producing detailed reports; testifying in court proceedings; and performing other duties as assigned. Employees assigned to this classification must complete an extensive training program to reach full proficiency in all areas. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Forensics Manager. Performance may be reviewed while in progress and upon completion through direct on-site observation conferences and review of reports.
Minimum Requirements
Associates Degree in Crime Scene Technology Crime Scene Investigations Forensic Science or related field and one (1) year experience in crime scene processing or photography; or an equivalent combination of education training and experience. Valid Florida Drivers License required. Must pass medical and psychological examinations. Must pass thorough background check which includes polygraph.
THIS IS A PARTTIMEPOSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. THIS POSITION INVOLVES WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEEED.
