What you can expect to work on
Niowave is an engineering playground where you will be engaged in supporting processes across multiple major programs that have a direct impact on cancer patient survival. Project Engineers tap into their prior hands-on experience in diversified engineering principles and practices to relate to and in support of the technical team in project completion. The Head of Project Engineering role encompasses leadership subject matter expertise operational excellence and fosters a culture of safety quality continuous improvement. This role collaborates with the Director of the Project Management/Change Management Office to ensure consistent execution of project management framework and tools as well as change management concepts across the organization.
  • Ensures delivery of high-quality designs and projects meeting all environmental health and radiological safety standards and in compliance with cGMP regulations
  • Plans prioritizes and forecasts work center loading staffing levels and contracting
  • Manages budgets for engineering and design operations and projects including forecasting and controlling expenses
  • Leads and inspires a diverse team of skilled professionals
  • Establishes and maintains a technical direction and supervisory oversight structure for the group including career progression and succession planning
What you need to succeed
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering
  • 15 years progressive positions in engineering management in a highly regulated environment
  • API pharmaceutical facility design experience and understanding of requirements
  • 10 years experience in capital project management and construction management
  • 10 years experience managing and leading day-to-day activities of engineers and designers providing mentoring and career development coaching

  • Understands how to integrate into a new team/organization appreciates the history of current state know how and when to make suggestions as well as using just the right pace to reach the improved future state
  • Understands your own communication and learning styles can assess others styles and is able to find the right path to best connect with colleagues
  • Displays excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills
  • Professional Engineer License
  • Experience with Solid Works Auto CAD MS Project and other project and work planning tools
  • Hands-on experience utilizing lean manufacturing principles for continuous process improvements (Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing 5S)
  • Knowledge of NRC and cGMP regulations
Great to have
  • Masters degree in Engineering
  • Experience with Accelerator and Radiopharmaceutical systems
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP PMI-ACP PMI-RMP)
