Lifecycle / Retention Manager (Braze Focus)

Location: Remote - Open to remote US/Canada but MUST be available for in person sprints in NYC - Preference for full time in NYC

Compensation: $130K - $150K

We are a high-growth consumer technology company defining the next generation of finance. Our iOS and Android application is often described as the Robinhood for DeFi allowing anyone to trade cryptocurrencies on-chain through a simple user-friendly interface. Since our launch in July 2024 we have attracted over 2 million users. Our mission is ambitious yet straightforward: to onboard the world to decentralized finance making finance open and accessible to everyone.

We are a lean team of passionate self-starters who relish autonomy and are united by a sense of urgency. We are seeking a Lifecycle / Retention Manager to take end-to-end ownership of our CRM strategy primarily utilizing Braze.

As the Lifecycle / Retention Manager you will be the core owner of the entire user messaging lifecycle. You will leverage Braze end-to-end to drive user activation retention and reactivation across all messaging channels. This role requires a hands-on operator who is driven by metric movement and a deep understanding of user psychology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Braze Ownership: Own and manage all lifecycle messaging within Braze including email push notifications in-app messages and in-app inbox experiences.
  • Flow Development: Build optimize and maintain automated onboarding retention and win-back flows designed to maximize user lifetime value.
  • Segmentation & Journeys: Create dynamic data-driven segmentation models and develop sophisticated triggered user journeys.
  • Incentives: Set up and monitor promotions targeted incentives and bonus campaigns to drive specific user behaviors and trading activity.
  • Experimentation: Own and execute a rigorous A/B testing and weekly experimentation roadmap across all lifecycle campaigns.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Establish clear KPIs (Activation $rightarrow$ Retention $rightarrow$ Reactivation) track performance and report key learnings to inform product and growth strategies.


Requirements
  • Experience: 5 years of dedicated experience in Lifecycle CRM or Retention marketing for a high-growth consumer application.
  • Tool Proficiency: Proven hands-on proficiency in Braze (including Canvas advanced segmentation personalization and cross-channel campaign management).
  • Metric Focus: A track record of moving core product metrics (e.g. LTV retention rates daily active users) not simply managing message deployment.
  • Copy Instincts: Strong short-form copy instincts particularly for mobile-first channels (push in-app messaging).
  • Data Fluency: High comfort level using data analytics and experimentation to inform all decision-making and campaign iterations.
  • Domain (Nice to Have): Direct experience in crypto trading sports betting or Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) environments with an understanding of trader/user psychology incentives and habit loops.

Location

  • Preference: NYC preferred (with travel required for in-person sprints).
  • Alternative: Remote US is acceptable.
