Hornblower is seeking a Site Manager for our Seaward Services operation in Norfolk VA.

About the Opportunity:
This role is at the Naval Surface Warfare Center upon award of contract. The Site Manager serves as the on-site lead responsible for the overall management coordination and execution of testing maintenance and operational support activities for small watercraft. This role ensures that all assigned personnel equipment and facilities operate safely efficiently and in full compliance with contractual requirements technical specifications and quality standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily on-site operations and ensure the effective execution of testing maintenance and repair activities for small watercraft.
- Manage a multidisciplinary team of skilled technicians captains and support staff ensuring proper allocation of resources and adherence to schedules.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols maintenance standards and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with client representatives program leadership and other stakeholders to ensure timely communication and reporting of site activities and performance metrics.
- Review and approve work documentation maintenance logs and test records to verify accuracy and completeness.
- Plan and schedule preventative maintenance and inspection programs to optimize operational readiness.
- Provide leadership mentorship and performance management for assigned staff.
- Ensure all operations comply with applicable regulations technical manuals and company quality management systems.
- Identify and resolve technical and logistical challenges impacting site performance.
- Support audits inspections and reviews as required by the client or contracting authority.
- Additional job duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of small watercraft systems including propulsion hull electrical and control systems required.
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing the testing and maintenance of small watercraft required.
- Minimum 10 years of experience leading and supervising teams of skilled technical and support personnel required.
- Proven ability to manage site operations budgets and timelines effectively.
- Strong communication leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic mission-driven environment.
- Familiarity with government contracting and reporting requirements.
- Experience supporting DoD DHS or similar maritime maintenance programs preferred.
- Certifications in marine systems maintenance or project management preferred.
- Work may include both office and waterfront environments in Norfolk VA.
