Job Title: Production Materials Control Support
Location:Bedford PA
Shift: 1st shift - 7am -3pm (M-F)
Job Summary and Mission:
Support between materials and production through recordkeeping of materials received and inventory and production.
This position requires:
- A high school diploma or general equivalency diploma;
- 6 months Manufaturing site experience is preferred;
- Drivers license;
- Completion of basic math blueprint reading and gauge-reading training;
- The ability to understand written and oral instructions and communicate with supervisors and coworkers;
Key Job Responsibilities:
Maintain schedules for material requirements and availability to support production control for industrial and commercial products.
Compile records regarding the quantity cost and type of material received shipped in stock/inventory or in production.
Expedite the flow of materials parts and assemblies within or between departments according to production and shipping schedules.
Assist in identifying possible and actual shortages.
Initiate actions to correct material or process deficiencies when necessary.
Use knowledge of production procurement and engineering functions to alert the appropriate stakeholders about potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
Estimate and log production rates and time expenditures.
Establish the sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping deadlines when required.
