The successful candidate will be working a mixture of on-site and off-site work at1800 Alta Vista Drive Ottawa Ontario based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors our staff and our communities. About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for aTemporary Full-time Analyst Master Datato join our dynamicProcurement team in our Finance and Corporate Services division.

The Procurement team is responsible for is driving strategic procurement practices throughout Canadian Blood Services. This means providing strategic procurement support to the organization through the development of requests for proposals contract negotiations and supplier qualifications for critical supplies and services. The Procurement team works to continuously enhance our procurement policies and procedures and work diligently to help manage our relationships with our suppliers.

Reporting to the Supervisor Materials Management you will support the organization with all aspects of master data in SAP. You will ensure that SAP master data remains current and aligned with business requirements while also providing ongoing support to the Supervisor Materials Management.

Formula for success

• Leveraging your skills in SAP master data management you will ensure master data in SAP is created and maintained in accordance with business requirements and all policies and procedures. You will work independently with clients to identify requirements ensure client satisfaction with service delivery and provide customer support to troubleshoot issues.

• Applying your attention to detail you will create delete and/or modify master data as required in the following areas:

  • Vendor Masters

  • Material Masters

  • Customer Masters

  • Cost Elements and Cost Element Groups

  • Information Records and Valuation Classes

  • Other related master data including but not limited to Pricing Records Assortment Modules Source Lists Batch Masters Serial Numbers Storage Bins General Ledger accounts Cost Centers and VATP material types.

• Utilizing your analytical abilities you will ensure the integrity of SAP master data through ongoing analysis and participate in data integrity clean-up projects as required. You will assist in the development of master data reports to support data analysis and identify deviations from accepted standards.

• Drawing on your problem-solving skills you will analyze user requests complete or direct resolutions and assist business owners in understanding relevant master data and the integration points within the system.

• Contributing your knowledge of business processes you will support the development implementation and maintenance of internal controls to ensure best business practices and assist in the review process including contributing to the development of standards procedures and associated training materials.

• Demonstrating your understanding of system testing you will perform user acceptance testing on IT applications or systems to ensure business requirements are met including new test scripts and when patches and upgrades are applied in SAP.

Desired education and skills

• Post-secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution is required preferably college courses in Supply Management.
• Minimum four years of job-related experience in the use of SAP.
• High attention to detail is essential in performing all aspects of the job.
• Excellent organizational multi-tasking and time management skills.
• Functional knowledge of SAP as it relates to Materials Management Inventory Management Warehouse Management Sales and Distribution Finance and Controlling Modules.
• Process knowledge relating to the Logistical Information System in SAP.
• Advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel ITSM and EtQ.
• Ability to conduct business professionally and develop strong working relationships with clients.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Good customer relations skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Experience with GMP is an asset.

• You will work Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week 7.5 hours per day.
