About Our Opportunity

As a key team member the Scheduler will report to the Manager Service Delivery Access & Transportation and will play a vital role in the development coordination and upkeep of our regional access and transport schedule.

Alongside managing individual employee and client schedules youll also engage with clients and foster parents sometimes during challenging moments.

Primary Accountabilities

Your primary accountabilities will revolve around ensuring the seamless management of schedules requiring regular updates and modifications based on evolving requirements. Youll monitor the regional access and transport schedule ensuring its accuracy and timeliness for a large team and clients that we serve.

In addition to this youll foster strong collaboration with Team Leads Access Support Workers and other departmental colleagues to maintain the schedules integrity and efficiency. Your role will frequently involve engaging with various stakeholders including parents foster parents daycares and other professionals using various communication channels such as phone calls emails and text messages.

Qualifications and Experience

You have four (4) years of related experience in an administrative or coordination environment.

In addition you demonstrate:

  • Proven ability to provide outstanding client service especially in crisis-driven situations.
  • Adaptability in crisis situations along with the ability to remain composed and makesound decisions under pressure.
  • Teamwork and collaboration as well as an ability towork wellindependently
  • Effective verbal and written communication along with strong organizational abilities.
  • A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Proficiency in various computer applications.

Though not required the following are considered assets:

  • Knowledge of scheduling practices within an adjusted work-hour environment.
  • General understanding of services offered by the Department and other community agencies.

We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination standardized tests oral presentations interview(s) and reference checks.

Equivalency

We recognize equivalent combinations of training education and experience providing opportunities for individuals with diverse backgrounds to contribute their skills and expertise. Equivalencies include but are not limited to:

  • A completed related bachelors degree
  • A completed related diploma and two (2) years of related experience

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an open office environment which may be stressful as work and interactions with others are continual and interruptive.

This role requires repetitive tasks on a regular basis good hand dexterity for continual phone and computer use and ahigh level of visual and mental concentration.

Accuracy and a high volume of work are expected while meeting deadlines and requests from Social Workers and Access Orders from the Courts.

Additional Information

This is a Term employment opportunity with an anticipated end date of January 31 2027. The appointment status (term temporary or casual) is dependent on the start date of the successful candidate.

Pay Grade: CL 18

Salary Range: $1684.00- $1884.17Bi-Weekly
