Resin Factory Support Specialist
As part of the production team contribute to the resolution of resin polymer production related projects and issues. Develop understanding of key attributes of resin technology applied in the production facility. Develop plans execute and analyze output of practical polymer chemistry experiments to manage and resolve problems relating to formulas/batches unable to achieve either the quality specifications or the required manufacturing performance. Supports the local resin manufacturing organization with the introduction of new resin raw materials and new resin formulations andprocesses.
About the Role
- Support the resin production facility with solutions in the form of process- and formulation-related technical knowledge and/or with practical adaptations in existing processes or formulation.
- Be first point of contact for: compatibility studies in case of new resin introductions or changes in existing portfolio proposals in terms of rework advise on operational capabilities/constraints and support when problem batches occur.
- Facilitate the transition of existing and/or new resin formulas from Resin R&D teams to manufacturing ensuring that these products can be efficiently scaled-up to an appropriate quality standard.
- Manages Raw Material / Supplier changes for current resin formulations.
- Builds and maintains knowledge in the field of existing and new resins which are being or can be produced in the local resin plant.
- Promote and keep a culture of continuous improvement and structured problem-solving approach.
- Maintains and promotes a safe work environment complies with safety policies and procedures. Follows safe work practices for personal and equipment safety in both the laboratory and in the field. End results are zero or minimum safety incidents and a clean orderly working environment.
- Spends time in the lab to conducts polymer synthetic work to investigate technical problems for factory questions and issues independently.
- Is familiar with and applies standard characterization techniques in the field such as rheology measurements functional group titration and solid content determination. Develops analytical methodology if necessary.
- Maintains own work plans and manages progress in discussions with the production Manager Teamleader and/or Researcher. Asks appropriate questions to clarify requirements expectations and critical performance parameters.

- Implement processes to allow plant issues to be feedback communicated and actioned.
- Be a team player and communicate effectively with team members on items of safety process policy and working conditions.
About You
- Master in organic (polymer) chemistry (starter or experienced) or Bachelor in organic (polymer) chemistry with significant work experience.
- Affinity with chemistry and polymer science and with production of synthetic resins on larger scale in a chemical factory.
- Eager to running own chemistry experiments in a laboratory environment for solving issues in production environment.
- Able to identify unexpected results adapt quickly and creatively think forward.
- Able to transfer knowledge to factory teams to solve imminent problems.
- Enthusiastic team player.
- Is flexible to match working hours to required production or experiment timing.
Education and experience
Technical educational in relevant field e.g. chemistry chemical technology
- Typically 10 years of relevant experience or
- Typically 3-6 years of relevant experience with Bachelors Degree or
- Typically 0-1 year of relevant experience with Masters Degree.
