Joining the Legal Department you will provide support to the legal operations team to help the business in interesting and complex challenges. Reporting to the General Counsel (Spain & LatAm) and working closely with the senior executive leadership team you will lead on all legal and compliance matters ensuring the business complies with evolving regulations across a variety of geographies and manage a wide range of legal business matters.
Responsibilities and functions.
- Business partner with knowledge of the business and its goals.
- Articulate clearly legal advice in a pragmatic manner to all stakeholders.
- Review negotiate and draft various customer and vendor contracts in IT services in Spain and LatAm region specifically negotiation of contracts for the provision of IT outsourcing (including business process outsourcing) consultancy digital and engineering services.
- Realize all legal aspects of contracting with the customers and with the providers including claims ensuring compliance with relevant local legislation and companys codes and policies with special focus on IP IT and data protection Law.
- Advise on all phases of deals ranging from the proposal/bid review stages through to negotiation and post signature issues in IT contracts.
Qualifications :
- University degree in Spanish Law.
- Post-degree Master (optional) in Law in an international context or IT environment.
- Qualified commercial lawyer with at least 3 years post qualification experience in a top multinational firm or in a tier one company preferably in IT sector contracts.
- Excellent grasp of general commercial and contract law especially in technology in spheres such as cloud digital data protection and cyber security.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is a must.
- Experience in contracting with the Spanish public sector is a plus.
- Strong communication skills (oral and writing).
- Strong business acumen solution oriented excellent strategic thinking and influencing skills.
