Job Summary
The position of Lipscomb Academy Freshman Boys Basketball Head Coach will focus on building players foundational skills fostering a positive team culture and preparing student-athletes for advancement within the high school basketball program.
Duties and responsibilities of the Lipscomb Academy Freshman Boys Basketball Head Coach:
- Teach and reinforce fundamental basketball skills including ball handling shooting footwork passing and defensive techniques
- Plan and conduct structured practices that emphasize fundamentals and team concepts
- Evaluate player progress and offer constructive feedback for improvement
- Maintain the highest order of professionalism and display the highest level of ethical and moral behavior at all times including building positive relationships with athletes coaches parents and the community
- Guide student-athletes in learning appropriate sportsmanship cooperation work ethic personal responsibility and competitiveness
- Help create a Christ-centered environment and team culture of service to others that reflects the Lipscomb Academy Mission Statement
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Basketball
