Job Summary

Develops and executes Human Resources programs and initiatives. Supervises HR Department staff. Provides guidance and direction to managers and supervisors. Ensures legal compliance and implementation of LLGIs mission and talent strategy.

Essential Job Duties

1. Collaborates with senior leadership and line management on Human Resources issues; consults as a business partner.

2. Oversees administration of human resource programs including but not limited to recruitment onboarding and retention compensation benefits leave of absence administration; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance management employee relations; and training and development.

3. Provides guidance investigates and provides recommendations to management regarding employee relations and disciplinary issues; reviews corrective action notices and partners with management on final outcome and delivery of the discipline.

4. Investigates complaints of discrimination harassment retaliation and other high-risk employment issues and makes recommendations for their resolution.

5. Monitors and ensures compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.

6. Assists in the development revision and implementation of policies and procedures.

7. Provides guidance to management and employees on organizational policies procedures and practices; ensures compliance with related laws regulations and guidelines.

8. Handles day to day administration of unemployment claim administration.

9. Oversees HRIS systems administration.

10. Maintains knowledge of trends best practices regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources talent management and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy practice and resources to leadership.

11. Develops and presents training on HR topics; partners with HR staff on training programs. 12. Assists with and supports organizational accreditation.

13. Builds trust by interacting with others in a way that gives them confidence.

14. Drives and contributes to the implementation of change management efforts.

15. Travels to locations within the LLGI territory.

16. Ensures that the customers perspective is a driving force behind customer satisfaction.

17. Seeks to understand internal and external customer circumstances problems expectations and needs.

18. Identifies organizational needs and creates solutions.

19. Builds awareness around LLGIs mission vision and values.

20. Identifies opportunities and generates ideas to improve human resources department and organizational objectives.

21. Initiates action to create value advance and meet departmental demands.

22. Partners with leadership and staff to identify assess create and implement process improvement.

23. Enforces and models awareness of safety and loss prevention.

24. Ensures that all safety standards are being followed.

25. Participates in professional organizations seeks development opportunities and stays current in field.

Qualifications

Education Experience and Credentials

Requires a bachelors degree in Human Resource Management Business Administration or related field. Masters degree and/or professional accreditation preferred.

Requires seven years of professional level human resource management experience; including resolution of complex employee relations issues.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Requires strong knowledge of and leadership experience with multiple human resources disciplines as well as federal and state employment law.

Requires proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn LLGIs HRIS.

Requires ability to make compelling presentations before groups to convey information and ideas requires strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.

Requires ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.

Requires ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results. Requires ability to maintain confidentiality of information related to LLGI operations financial matters and personnel matters.

Requires valid drivers license acceptable driving record and proof of insurance.

Requires ability to gather data compile information and write reports.

Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word PowerPoint Outlook and Excel Requires excellent organizational problem solving and collaboration skills.

Demonstrates sensitivity and the ability to communicate with a diverse population; promotes diversity and inclusion throughout the organization.

Requires ability to interact with people in a manner which enhances their dignity privacy and confidentiality. Requires a high level of professionalism integrity business conduct and ethical behavior. Requires ability to work independently while fostering a strong team atmosphere.

Maintains strong knowledge of models and follows LLGI policies and procedures.

Requires CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification within six months of employment

Office position primarily sedentary

Some exposure to warehouse and light industrial environments when traveling to LLGI worksites

Tools and Equipment

Basic office equipment including computer calculator photocopier scanner and telephone. Company vehicle.
