Job Summary

Job Description

We are looking for aSenior QA Engineer - APIto design develop and execute manual andautomated testsfor API Postman. This position will befull-timeandremote.

What Youll Do

• Design develop and execute manual andautomated testsfor API Postman.

• Validate API functionality reliability performance and security.

• Develop test cases test scripts and test data based on API specifications and business requirements.

• Perform functional integration regression and system testing for APIs.

• UseAPI testingtools such asPostmanSoapUIRest Assured Spec flow or Karate for automation.

• Work with API documentation tools likeSwagger/Open API for test validation.

• Analyze API responses HTTP methods headers and status codes to detect defects.

• Perform load andperformance testingusing tools like JMeter Load Runner

• Conduct security testing by validating authentication mechanisms (OAuth JWT API keys).

• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Report track and manage defects using tools likeJIRA Bugzilla or Azure DevOps.

What Youll Need

Required:

• 3-5 years of experience in Functional testing.

• 3-5 years of experience in API testing

• Strong understanding ofRESTfuland SOAP APIs and HTTP protocols.

• Hands-on experience withAPI testingtools likePostmanRest AssuredSoapUI or Karate.

• Experience inAPI automationusingJava Python JavaScript or Groovy.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD.

• Strong knowledge of test management tools like TestRail ADO or Zephyr.

• Experience working with databases (SQL/NoSQL) for APIdata validation.

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) is a plus.

• Understanding of Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

• Experience in containerized environments (Docker Kubernetes).

• Exposure to BDD frameworks like Cucumber.

Physical Demands

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions

• Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings etc.

• Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer utilizing a mouse keyboard and monitor
