We are excited to invite applications from experienced Commercial and Costing Support professionals with a proven track record in contract administration and the ability to work flexibly across many minor contracts. This role will be based out of Edinburgh South Australia with the opportunity to potentially work two days from home.

Reporting to the Commonwealth Task Lead you will provide complex contract management support to achieve value for the Commonwealth in accordance with the terms of proposed and extant support/sustainment contracts.

The Contracts Administrator will be accountable for:

  • Contract management and procurement support
  • Providing monthly budget and finance management support services
  • Providing support to ensure Export Controlled technology is appropriately managed
  • Supporting CoA and MSP personnel development and understanding of business outcomes
  • Providing support to business unit strategic plans to convert directed strategic outcomes into business plans and actions related to the commercial functions
  • Advising on contract engagement and relationship management and the development of contract artefacts during the development stage of acquisition activity
  • Developing approval documentation and briefings for Deed and Contract Change Proposals
  • Support and present commercial and continuation training

As a suitably experienced and well- rounded Commercial Support professional the Contracts Administratorwill have:

  • Strong contract administration skills
  • Flexibility to work across and manage many minor contracts (30-50)
  • The ability to support and learn from the Contract Management teams embedded in the units and provide backfill for short term absences
  • Scheduling experience using MS project
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers project managers legal teams suppliers and military customers
  • Clear written communication whilst preparing briefs contract documents procurement papers and other correspondence
  • Strong negotiation skills particularly whilst participating in discussions with suppliers

Due to the nature of the role applicants must hold Baseline Australian Government Security Clearance and be eligible to obtain an NV1
