Primary Care/Geriatrics Physician Opening in Southbury Connecticut (85 miles from New York City)
Nuvance Health Medical Group is seeking a Primary Care/Geriatrics Physician for our Southbury Primary Care practice at in Southbury CT (80 miles from NYC and 40 miles from Hartford the Capital of CT). Southbury is a beautiful historic town with quaint suburban neighborhoods beautiful rural settings and exquisite hiking trails. It boasts two state parks a dog park and an eagle observation area and is well known for antiquing. The office located right next to a shopping center is less than 2 miles from I84 with easy on/off access and provides ample parking. It is a highly regarded well-established practice with limited on call obligations You will work with eleven Providers (8 Physicians and 3 Nurse Practitioner colleagues). We have a busy established practice in a family-friendly location. This practice sees adult patients only. This role can include SNF coverage in addition to Primary Care. There may be an opportunity for teaching medical students and Residents.
This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice. Competitive total compensation package including base salary incentive pay paid time off CME time off and allowance medical dental vision life disability and 401k match. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate primary care physician who will provide comprehensive care in a team-based environment to our population of patients. This includes not only caring for acute and chronic conditions but working with multidisciplinary support staff to promote the health and well-being of our entire panel of covered lives. This as a full-time office-based position providing outpatient services only utilizing a state-of-the-art Electronic Health Record fully integrated across all our hospitals and sites.

Job Requirements:
- MD or DO with CT and NY State License Federal DEA in both CT and NY and CT State Controlled Substance Registration
- Have successfully completed an Internal Medicine Residency. Geriatircs Fellowship a plus.
- Must be Board Certified or be Board Eligible
- After-hour coverage light call volume to physician shared among multiple providers to decrease call frequency phone-calls only (after nurse triages first line)

Salary range: $275000 - $285000 annually commensurate or relative to experience.
