Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to critically ill patients
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor and assess patient conditions adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans
- Document patient care accurately and timely in medical records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
- Stay updated on advancements in critical care medicine and best practices
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license in the state of Texas
- Board certification or eligibility in Critical Care Medicine
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a critical care setting preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (6:30p-6:30a) specific dates
Setting: 2x 20-bed medical and surgical ICUs
Patient Census: 17-18 per unit per night
Support Staff: APPs
EMR: Epic
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
