Position Overview

Job Description

• Full-Time Hybrid Role

• Location: Miami FL

You will contribute by:

• Applying analytical and quantitative insights to support annual category strategy development including assisting with the planning process competitive intelligence sales data and syndicated data to identify actionable trends and opportunities that drive incremental sales and margin.

• Overseeing the execution of assigned vendor programs allowances performance funds incentives forward buys and direct plan ship optionsmaintaining efficiency incentives as a competitive advantage.

• Partnering with the Commercial and Promotional Planning teams in the assigned region to implement sales programs and support local events.

• Managing the execution of category tactics milestones and deliverables including deal submissions demand planning new item introductions and key selling events.

• Performing SKU rationalization and working with suppliers to ensure optimal assortments for customers while monitoring commodity market risks for the assigned desk.

• Serving as the primary point of escalation for assigned vendor/broker tactics and day-to-day planning including deal submission and approval and coordinating with Manufacturing Buying and Transportation to resolve out-of-stock (OOS) issues.

• Monitoring and tracking trade fund planning execution (passed and retained) flyer income incentives forward buys truckload opportunities and other income streams; escalating variances to the Sr. Category Merchandiser for resolution.

• Participating in cross-functional planning initiatives to support both corporate and regional growth strategies.

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; comfortable interpreting and leveraging complex financial data.

• Experience in category planning and promotional execution.

• Solid understanding of financial methodologies to determine costs develop annual business plans and oversee daily metrics (sales volume inventory costs etc.).

• Ability to concisely present analysis results data models and project outcomes to management.

• Strong written verbal and presentation communication skills.

• Excellent planning prioritization and time management abilities.

• Comfort working in fast-paced ambiguous environments adaptable and solutions-oriented.

• Ability to operate effectively in both tactical and strategic capacities.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.

• Bachelors degree in Business Finance or Marketing required.

• 0-2 years of experience in retail/supermarket wholesale and/or CPG industries.

• Ability to travel occasionally (limited to a few times per year including a minimum of two food shows annually).
