Job Description:

At Regions the Software Engineer Manager oversees application development fora large or complexdepartment within the rolemanages strategy development to ensure the application portfolio meets current business requirements and is operational stable reliable and technically mature.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of system design development deployment acquisition and ongoing maintenance for all application systems within areas of responsibility
  • Serves as the primary technology contact for senior management from all areas of the organization in developing technology solutions that increase the efficiency of internal business functions resolves business problems and supports the pursuit of business opportunities for areas of responsibility
  • Creates and refines operational processes and systems to ensure effective regulatory and audit compliance
  • Applies an interdisciplinary collaborative approach to plan design develop and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
  • Evaluates customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements integrates technical parameters andensures compatibility of all interfaces
  • Supports the planning organization implementation and monitoring of requirements through management processes

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a related field
  • Eight (8) years of relevant experience of which two (2) years must be in a supervisory/managerial capacity

Preferences

  • Experience in a Technology role in banking or a financial services industry

  • Temenos Core Banking Transformation
    • Lead the implementation and customization of Temenos Transact (T24) and related modules.
    • Oversee migration from legacy systems to Temenos ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
    • Collaborate with Temenos consultants and internal stakeholders to configure test and deploy solutions.
  • Technical Oversight
    • Drive architectural decisions for integration with APIs middleware and third-party systems.
    • Ensure adherence to best practices in software development security and compliance.
    • Monitor system performance and scalability during and after transformation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Partner with business units product owners and project managers to align technical solutions with strategic objectives.
    • Communicate progress risks and mitigation plans to senior leadership.
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Implement robust testing strategies for Temenos modules and customizations.
    • Ensure compliance with banking regulations data privacy standards and internal governance policies.

This position is intended to be onsite now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position and relocation would be at your expense. The locations available for this role are Birmingham AL Atlanta GA or Charlotte NC.

Regions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position at this time. Applicants for this position must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience skills knowledge contribution job location and most importantly performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$160754.55 USD

Median:

$215490.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual business and/or company to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
