Job Overview

Our Key Account Manager Canada is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with national and regional accounts in Canada. This position works with multiple internal teams to ensure the needs of our customers are met. They develop programs and strategies to maximize sales opportunities within assigned accounts as well as seek out new business opportunities.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Account manager responsibilities include developing long-term relationships with a portfolio of clients connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. Account Manager is the liaison between customers/distributors and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs. Manage and develop client accounts to initiate and maintain favorable relationship with clients.
  • Areas of focus include forecasting promotional calendars trade spend management planograms end to end customer management
  • Support new product launches and marketing initiatives aligning with retailer growth plan and strategy including using available category data
  • Search for and grow new business opportunities within chain Canadian market updating Associate Director of New Channel Sales on target status
  • Presentation and preparation for all account meetings
  • Monthly/quarterly reconciliation with Finance for all customers
  • Analyze retailer sell-through (when available) highlighting growth trends and review low performance SKUs; update for recommendations internally and by customer
  • Preparation by customer for bi-monthly check-in meetings
  • Retailer document set up & all customer follow-up
  • Develop new business and maintain sales quotas for existing customers
  • Meet monthly quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Responsible for ensuring ROI and profitability by customer
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external cross functional teams to manage customer expectations
  • Build business with current customers expanding distribution and onboarding new customers/channels in the Canadian market

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree preferred Associates degree required
  • Background in CPG industry Beauty or Cosmetics category a plus
  • Strong analytical ability familiar with Syndicated/Portal Data/IRI POS
  • Superior presentation skills problem solving interpersonal skills
  • Candidate should be bright energetic and a quick study
  • Proficient in Power Point Excel and easily adaptable to internal software programs
  • Team player excellent oral and written communication skills

Physical Requirements

This position must be able to move about the building along with sit for prolonged periods of time with finger and wrist dexterity with repetitive motion. This position requires domestic travel. Individual must be able to obtain necessary documents for travel.
