Client is searching for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead building system design of HVAC Plumbing and Fire Protection systems. This is a leadership position to establish the mechanical team for a growing healthcare focused MEP firm with a quick path to equity.
Responsibilities
- Establish an HVAC Plumbing & Fire Protection team.
- Manage and mentor 4 junior engineers.
- Develop technical deliverables; including construction plans & specifications.
- Coordinate with clients on project requirements and status updates.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies to understand local permitting requirements and submit permit documents for review and approval.
- Perform construction administration duties; including attending and documenting project meetings conducting site visits reviewing shop drawings and assisting with the development of change order closeout and other construction documentation.
- Perform onsite construction observation and inspection.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 6 years of related experience
- P.E. License
- Revit experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with both internal employees and external clients.
- Self motivated
Preferred Qualifications
- AHCA Experience
- Healthcare experience
