Job Summary

Job Description:

Provide overall leadership and operational oversight for Plant Operations including building maintenance biomedical services and hazardous waste management across all PMC locations and Helen Porter.

Ensure all facilities meet regulatory and accreditation standards including CMS OSHA Life Safety Codes and other applicable compliance requirements.

Oversee maintenance of hospital infrastructure including HVAC electrical systems medical equipment utility systems and grounds to ensure safe efficient operation.

Lead coach and manage performance of the Plant Operations Manager and technical staff.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs safety protocols and operational procedures to optimize facility performance.

Manage departmental budgets staffing plans and resource allocation.

Coordinate facility-related projects renovations and improvements in collaboration with internal teams and UVM Health Network partners.

Act as the primary point of contact for facility safety concerns corrective actions and emergency response planning.

Ensure appropriate documentation reporting and tracking of all maintenance and compliance activities.

Represent the organization as a member of the UVM Health Network Facilities Leadership Council.

Foster a culture of safety teamwork and continuous improvement within the department.
