Job Summary
Drive a powerful reliable IT infrastructure that keeps the business running and the future moving. Oversee the entire IT infrastructure including data centers networks servers and devices. Provide technical leadership while planning coordinating and managing the maintenance support and life-cycle management of the IT infrastructure to meet business objectives. Advise on plan and implement improvements across the IT environment.

- Ensure that adequate IT cybersecurity and information security controls are implemented and maintained.
- Maintain an IT infrastructure capable of supporting the organisations operational and strategic needs.
- Comply with IT governance and strategy requirements and work toward achieving industry best practices.
- Ensure that service delivery targets are met in line with agreed SLAs and support effective business continuity processes.
- Coordinate and supervise infrastructure projects to ensure the effective execution and delivery of required business benefits.
- Understand the objectives of various business departments and provide input on IT initiatives that support and enhance their needs.
- Provide guidance and technical leadership to System Administrators and support teams.
- Manage governance and compliance activities to effectively mitigate IT-related risks.
- Enforce adherence to the IT governance framework and ensure team compliance at all times.
- Build and maintain strong internal customer and supplier relationships through effective communication and collaboration to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Plan IT projects and ensure their successful implementation within budget and aligned to business objectives.
- Manage the full IT asset life cycle including both hardware and software.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelors Degree/NQF Level 7 in Information Technology or equivalent.
- 8 years working experience in IT operations:
- Solid server farm management including network storage and backup systems.
- Technical architecture experience.
- Knowledge or working experience in project management.
- Design and implementation of new and replacement IT infrastructure.
