Job Summary


The Product Manager Wearables will own the full product lifecycle for wearables in Nigeria. This includes market validation feature prioritization pricing channel rollout and driving product improvements based on local user feedback.


Key Responsibilities

  • Market Research & Personas: Identify target segments (students drivers fitness users) feature priorities (battery life health tracking local language support) and price sensitivity.

  • Roadmap & Localization: Define device feature sets languages watch faces and app integrations tailored to the Nigerian market.

  • Pilot & Trials: Conduct pilot programs with retailers corporate partners or community groups to validate features and collect usage data.

  • Integration & App Feedback: Collaborate with engineering/partners on app reliability firmware updates and OTA processes; collect crash and bug reports from the field.

  • Channel Enablement: Prepare retail demo kits training materials user guides and FAQs for stores and service centers.

  • Commercial Tactics: Define bundles subscription or app-based value offers and pricing tiers.

  • After-Sales & Data: Monitor returns defect patterns and app store reviews; drive fixes and communicate roadmap updates to field teams.

  • Reporting: Provide weekly and monthly insights on sales active users churn and feature requests.




Requirements

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science Electronics Business or a related field.

  • 35 years of product management or technical product experience in wearables IoT devices or consumer electronics in Nigeria/West Africa.

  • Understanding of wearable sensors Bluetooth companion apps and OTA update processes.

  • Ability to run pilot programs analyze user telemetry and translate insights into product improvements.

  • Strong cross-functional skills to collaborate with engineering supply chain marketing and support teams.

  • Data literacy (Excel basic analytics); experience with analytics for active users preferred.

  • Fluent in English; Hausa or French is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel for field visits.
