Job Description

A highly reputable community hospital in central New Hampshire is seeking a compassionate and skilled Obstetrics Registered Nurse to join its dedicated Womens Health team. This is an exciting opportunity to support patients throughout pregnancy labor delivery and postpartum care within a collaborative and nurturing environment.

About the Role

As an OB RN you will play an essential role in delivering safe evidence-based care to expectant mothers and newborns. You will provide emotional support clinical expertise and thorough patient education to families navigating the childbirth experience. Working closely with obstetricians midwives neonatal staff and other members of the healthcare team you will ensure optimal outcomes and a positive birth experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients during antepartum labor delivery and postpartum stages.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal status including vital signs fetal heart tones labor progression and postpartum recovery.
  • Assist providers with labor management deliveries and emergent obstetric situations.
  • Administer medications manage IVs and operate obstetric monitoring equipment.
  • Support and educate patients and families promoting a safe respectful and compassionate birthing experience.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to obstetric emergencies such as hemorrhage preeclampsia or fetal distress.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Active RN license
  • At least 1 year of Labor Delivery and Post-partum care experience required.
