Microchips Frequency and Time Systems (FTS) business unit is a growing world-leading provider of precision time solutions setting the global standard for time. The business unit generates distributes and applies precise time for the aerospace defense communications IT infrastructure and metrology industries. Microchips customers can build more reliable networks and systems by utilizing the companys advanced timing technologies atomic clocks services and solutions. Microchip products support todays precise timing standards including GPS-based timing IEEE 1588 (PTP) Network Time Protocol (NTP) Synchronous Ethernet and more.
Our Government Systems group in Boulder CO is seeking a Senior Engineer II - System (Integration LinuxProgramming) to join our team of technical professionals supporting complex networked systems. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Linux administration network configuration scripting automation and hardware integration with the ability to streamline processes and ensure reliable system performance across multiple environments.
This position plays a key role in developing integrating and maintaining systems that bridge hardware and software domains. The engineer will collaborate closely with network architects software developers and test engineers to design efficient scalable and secure solutions.
This position may require up to 30% travel including domestic and international assignments to support integration testing and deployment efforts at customer and partner sites.
