Responsibilities
Review clinical documentation diagnostic reports and medical records to extract relevant data.
Assign precise ICD-9-CM and CPT codes in alignment with official coding guidelines.
Ensure all coding meets regulatory billing and compliance requirements.
Maintain accurate coded data to support reporting research and internal metrics.
Uphold all organizational policies procedures and compliance standards.
Protect patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Communicate with clinical and administrative teams to clarify documentation when needed.
Participate in ongoing training to remain current with industry and coding updates.
Requirements
Proven experience in ICD-9-CM and CPT coding.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to compliance standards.
