In your role as Global Network Sourcing Leader you will be accountable for leading the site selection process for both NMEs and commercial products. You will run an option analysis through a portfolio lens weighing all relevant product and network strategic aspects that inform the decision making by senior management. As part of E2E operating model accountability for transferring the site selection decision to the subsequent technical transfer organistion. Your role has a significant impact on the achievement of company goals and requires a broad knowledge of the various PT areas a strong strategic and business acumen excellent abilities to lead teams in matrixed setups and a close partnership with various stakeholders from across PT such as Product Strategy Leaders (PSLs) Technical Development Leaders (TDLs) Tech Transfer Leads (TTL) Site Heads MU Heads and other senior leaders from Pharma Tech Ops .
You lead the end-to-end site selection process from data collection to the final decision by the One PT Board. Furthermore you:
Develop scenarios and analyze options using a strategic product portfolio and manufacturing network lens to enable optimal site selection
Enable product and network strategies by engaging with key customers and stakeholders and collaboratively co-create solutions across PT
Develop detailed execution plans as part of the sourcing process considering strategic and tactical inputs for a successful transfer
Orchestrate the implementation of E2E supply chains and/or individual manufacturing nodes for Drug Substance Drug Product and Secondary Packaging
Lead global cross-functional teams with a Lean and Continuous Improvement mindset focusing on outcomes and impact for patients
Anticipate risks dependencies and strategic/tactical events and drive resolution of issues with the transfer team and governance bodies
You have a BS/MS degree in life sciences or engineering and a minimum 10-15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with 5-8 years in global roles and regular senior management interaction. Previous strategy and senior matrix leadership experience is a plus. Furthermore:
Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry including manufacturing processes current GMPs regulatory dependencies supply chain and process development
Proven ability to think strategically translate strategy into actionable plans and maintain a combined strategic and execution focus for technical transfers
Excellent matrix leadership skills with proven ability to apply agile and/or lean approaches
Strong verbal and written communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels coupled with the ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity and build trustful relationships
Strong strategic and business acumen enabling an enterprise-level perspective when solving complex problems; international/global experience strongly preferred
You have proven interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners and to lead cross-functional & -cultural project teams across multiple locations. You will serve as consultant to senior management and as internal/external spokesperson for the organization on matters pertaining to its policies plans objectives and business operations
You are fluent in oral and written English other language skills are a plus. You are able to travel 10 - 25%
