Type: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Full-time

Compensation: $50.82 - $50.82/hour

Tessera is seeking an Electrician Maintenance- Licensed who plans estimates and performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation maintenance or repair of equipment for the generation distribution or utilization of electric equipment and components.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Work involves installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators transformers switchboards controllers circuit breakers motors heating units conduit systems or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints drawings layouts or other specifications; locating and diagnosing problems in the electrical system or equipment; working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.

  • Replaces lamps and ballasts cleans fixtures repairs outlets switches connections sensors and ground fault interrupters and performs miscellaneous electrical repairs.

  • Repairs switch gear transformers and circuit breakers.

  • Must be able to identify and install circuit conductors per NEC rules.

  • Installs or repairs wiring electrical and electronic components.

  • Inspects operates and tests industrial equipment to diagnose malfunctions.

  • Plans and lays out work using diagrams drawings manuals and schematic diagrams

  • Keep records of maintenance work performed and cost of work.

  • Portable handheld electronic devices shall be used where applicable in the performance of daily duties for purposes including but not limited to documenting work timekeeping and ordering materials

  • Restores fixtures to proper operating condition and lighting to current Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES) standards.

  • This position may be subject to call-back availability based on operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma/GED is required.

  • Minimum 3 years experience Commercial and Electrical Systems and Controls

  • Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC plumbing electrical) and maintenance practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly.

  • Licensed by the State of Washington as a Journeyman Electrician and minimum of at least 3 years direct experience with commercial electrical systems and controls.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

  • May be required to reach kneel walk stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion reaching lifting kneeling and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time climbing in and out of a vehicle and up and down stairs may also be required.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

  • A valid state drivers license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tesseras insurance.
