Government and Community Affairs is seeking an experienced Manager Community and Municipal Affairs who will focus ontelling the story of the college and our students faculty alumni and supporters.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Manager Community and Municipal Affairs are the following:

  • Develop strategies for establishing and sustaining programs and initiatives that positively impact the community.
  • Organize community outreach programs and coordinate special events that promote student success.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community members key individuals and other organizations.
  • Serve as a liaison between neighboring businesses institutions and communities.
  • Attend relevant events and activities to represent the company and build strong relationships with key community members.
  • Act as the lead representative for GSU conveying its vision to the local community.
  • Draft and distribute communications promote GSUs connection to the community.
  • Respond to inquiries from community members and other parties and recruit knowledgeable spokespeople or information sources for assistance when needed.
  • Manage social media content and virtual groups to enhance the departments online presence and profile.
  • Build and promote cross-functional relationships within GSU.
  • Serve as a mentor to the GSU internship program and assist with their professional development to ensure alignment with our strategic initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in public administration political science or another related field.
