Senior Contract Manager

You can make your mark as Senior Contract manager by providing contractual support during the preparation and execution of projects of Boskalis. As Senior Contract Manager you will take the lead in complex and high profile (joint venture) projects while also supervising and training Contract Managers and Quantity Surveyors. 

You will be part of the Contract Management team within our Business Legal team providing guidance and advice on a wide range of contractual matters. You will support our business in various fields across the maritime industry including dredging and offshore energy. 

In this role you can be based in the Netherlands (Papendrecht) or the UK.  Flexibility is required as you might need to move from project to project in Europe on a short/long term assignment. 

Your responsibilities as Senior Contract Manager:

• Provide contractual support during the preparation execution and closure of complex (joint venture) projects. 
• Draft review and negotiate contracts subcontracts variation orders claims. 
• Draft and review correspondence with partners clients suppliers and subcontractors. 
• Ensure accurate and timely project administration including the management of variation orders claims and contract deliverables. 
• Collaborate with the Project Team as well as the Insurance Procurement and Treasury department and closely work together with the (Senior) Legal Counsel involved. 
• Mentor and supervise the Contract Manager(s) and Quantity Surveyor(s) assigned to the project. 
• Enhance contractual awareness within the Project Team. 

Your qualities and experience 
 
You can move ahead as Senior Contract manager if you have: 

• Master / bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying and/or masters degree in Law.
• At least ten years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in an international maritime or civil engineering environment is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of the main forms of international construction contracts (Logic BIMCO IMCA NEC FIDIC and others).
• Excellent command of English (verbal and written). 
  Also your are:
• Open to international assignments and willing to work (on rotation) at project sites abroad.
•  A team player strong communicator with business-oriented
