As Business Analyst you will work among the program eLIMS-NG which is a suite of LIMS integrated applications supporting testing business in our laboratories worldwide. Our teams and businesses are spread over different geographical areas and hence are multi-cultural. We strive to standardize business processes across these locations by assessing and analysing their business needs. BAs are in the center of this effort to understand the lab processes derive well-defined Business Requirements and lead them to delivery.
Main missions of the Business Analyst:
- Serves as the intermediary between the business stakeholders and the Product Delivery team thus proactively communicates and collaborates with both sides.
- Drives and challenges business representatives (Business Process Expert) on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
- Contributes to the vision of eLIMS-NG as a Product and aims at business satisfaction
- Is responsible for identifying new Business Requirements (coming directly from business stakeholders KGDs BPDs Problems raised from Production BRAB internal assessment etc.)
- As Business Process Owner:
- Is responsible for the evolution of Business Processes described in Business Process Documents in alignment with business and IT stakeholders. Identify areas of improvement.
- Identifies Business Requirements derived from Business Processes.
- Assesses the priority of underlying Business Requirements and contributes to their incorporation into the Product Roadmap.
- As Business Requirement Owner or delegate:
- Is responsible for the elicitation of the Business Requirement and proper definition of its perimeter.
- Captures and describes non-functional requirements related to a Business Process (linked to performance scalability GUI aspects )
- Is knowledgeable about business Use Cases applicable to a Business Requirement.
- Calls for BPD (Business Process Document) and/or KGD (Key Group Document) updates when a requirement is not supported by already defined underlying concepts and processes.
- Conducts the approval of Business Requirement with business stakeholders and/or Business Requirement Advisory Board (BRAB).
- Aligns with Functional Architecture team to enable a functional design of the BR.
- Splits the Business Requirement into detailed User Requirements.
- Ensures with business stakeholders that Business Requirement breakdown represent a correct applicative answer to the need.
- Collaborates very closely with Product Delivery team (Product Owners and/or Functional Analysts) to ensure User Requirements are clear understood and delivered in an appropriate way.
- Is responsible for ensuring that User Requirements delivered by Product Delivery team fit the actual business need.
Qualifications :
Ideally you should have a masters degree in Scientific IT or an Engineering Discipline with proven track record as an Agile Business Analyst or Product Owner (3-5 years).
You should have:
- Strong demonstrable skills in building business process models
- Strong facilitation and listening skills with results-oriented approach
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams
- Ability to write functional documentation where required
- Efficient time management and high-quality attitude
- Very good English language skills spelling/writing
- Very good team and communication skills
- Personal qualities: autonomous ability to summarize organized pedagogue
In addition experience in life science domain and/or LIMS systems will be a plus. A hands-on experience of working in a lab is highly valuable.
Position entails some travel.
