The airport market is booming and the demand for advanced baggage handling systems is higher than ever. BEUMER Groups systems sort over 100.000 bags daily at some of our largest sites ensuring efficient airport operations and safe travel for passengers.

Our customers seek innovative solutions to make their airports more efficient including the full automation of manual processes with a strong focus on digitalization as a key driver of efficiency. To meet these needs we are introducing a new product: SECTRO a fully automated passenger and carry-on baggage screening system design. The solution enhances the airport security screening process to significantly improve the passenger experience while reducing the number of operators needed.

Ensuring technical reliability and alignment
As the Senior Electrical Design Engineer you are responsible for the design optimization and coordination of electrical solutions within the product architecture. You ensure that the team maintains and optimizes the electrical design to continually reduce cost maintain standardization and secure smooth coordination with other technical domains and stakeholders.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Designing cost-efficient scalable and reliable electrical solutions for SECTRO
• Maintaining and continuously optimizing the electrical design to ensure cost reduction and adherence to standard product architecture
• Driving and aligning electrical design work with mechanical automation and software engineering as well as external partners
• Providing technical input to product development activities and contributing to maintaining the roadmap together with the Technical Product Owner and the Team Lead
• Supporting Sales customer interactions and project activities by ensuring that the electrical solutions meet functional and quality requirements
• Ensuring compliance with applicable standards safety regulations and company best practices within the electrical domain.

Combining technical depth with strategic thinking you contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ensure that engineering decisions support both technical excellence and business value. You are proactive detail-oriented and thrive in an environment that values innovation accountability and teamwork. Moreover we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
• Solid experience in electrical system design product development and optimization within a multidisciplinary environment.
• A deep understanding of electrical system integration
• Experience collaborating with external partners and suppliers.
