E-logic is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to serve as a subject-matter expert and technical lead for geospatial data analysis and LRS development for FDOT. This role involves complex spatial analysis quality control LRS data maintenance and providing technical guidance to other staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the GIS database system including planning design customization and maintenance of the LRS software and data.
- Conduct advanced spatial analysis and modeling to support decision-making and geospatial feature improvements in the operational LRS.
- Oversee and perform LRS maintenance tasks including adding/deleting roadways adjusting alignments to aerial photography verifying exceptions and eliminating data gaps/duplicates.
- Provide a wide range of GIS solutions both recurring and ad hoc and serve as a project leader for smaller specialized GIS projects.
- Audit existing geospatial data to assess for accuracy completeness and usability ensuring alignment with RCI (Roadway Characteristics Inventory) data.
- Develop test and document new and/or modified GIS configurations and system processes; provide end-user training and technical support.
- Develop and implement standards for GIS procedures map production data management and metadata maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Geography Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional progressive experience in GIS with a focus on LRS/transportation data.
- Extensive experience with Esris ArcGIS product line (ArcGIS Pro ArcGIS Enterprise) and related functionality.
- Strong technical skills in programming languages like Python and expertise in SQL for data manipulation and geodatabase management.
- Advanced knowledge of linear referencing concepts spatial analysis techniques and quality control methods.
