Job Description:
A candidate has been identified for this position; however the posting will remain open for five (5) business days in accordance with company policy.
Position Summary:
This position will be part of the Americas ICE Business Unit with focus on ICE Vehicle products and will be responsible for activity and support for production engineering management. Focus for the Production Engineering Head will be leading the activities to establish the most effective production allocation and footprint for ICE products as well as leading activities to support improvements to existing ICE products within the region. Additionally this role will manage ICE BU investment including alignment with global PE to establish the most effective cash flow. This position will identify and recommend any best practices ensure cost efficiency and drive synergies of similar products at our production locations.
Minimum Qualifications (Education Experience and Skills):
- 4year University Degree in Related Field and 10 years related work experience
- Engineering skills include knowledge of facilities and wide range of production processes/equipment.
- The ability to set and manage investment budgets and cash flow for each of those investments on a multiple-year basis.
- Be able to build multiple relationships with a wide range of vendors. Able to gather and manage multiple quotes for buildings building assets equipment etc.
- A demonstrable leadership and organizational excellence record including multiple departmental management experience.
- Ability to delegate and follow up on multiple functions and deadlines utilizing PDCA.
- Ability to make quick accurate data driven decisions and utilize excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy with both personal computers and manufacturing systems.
- Ability to support and mentor all levels of associates.
- Willingness to support the corporate culture with an absolute focus on ethics and compliance
Preferred Qualifications (Education Experience and Skills):
- Work experience within automotive industry
- Knowledge of engine components such as injectors pumps VTCs pistons and throttle bodies
- Experience in cash flow analysis and financial management (ROINPVROIC)
- Well organized attention to detail and able to handle multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills to prepare and present information to all levels of associates management and customers both verbally and written
- Ability to lead projects obtaining the support of multiple departments and organizations

- Ability to work flexible schedule including all shifts and days as needed
- Ability to work for long periods of time while sitting
- Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen
- Ability to travel for business (Domestic and Overseas)
Software:
- Intermediate experience required in Windows MSWord PowerPoint and Excel
Description of Duties and Responsibilities
- Formulate strategies for production engineering to maximize free cash flow across all business unit sites with focus on equipment - 20%
- Establish strategies to optimize our current footprint and potential new facilities for new products (includes involvement in new RFQ/RFI) - 20%
- Assist sites on improving their efficiency (rejects quality labor) - 20%
- Manage and support regional CAPEX and investment planning - 10%
- Support site estimate production costs for RFQ/RFI - 10%
- Assist RBH to achieve regional objectives and targets - 10%
- Engage with and ensure alignment with global BU strategy and engineering - 10%
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Make sound business decisions exercise good judgment and maintain high level of motivation
- Maintain effectiveness in high visibility situations handle multiple functions efficiently and ensure deadlines are maintained/achieved
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization needed
- Conference with and prepare reports for corporate management
- Maintain functional knowledge of processes procedures and equipment within manufacturing
- Promote and carry out ASTEMO MVVs.
