Yamhill County has one regular full-time position for a Human Services Specialist I/QMHA (Qualified Mental Health Associate) to provide ongoing clinical support in a voluntary crisis program setting to clients experiencing an acute level of behavioral health crisis. The person in this position will work with multidisciplinary teams to assist individuals in accessing resources addressing barriers related to their mental health and developing skills that promote recovery and advocacy. Responsibilities include: de-escalating crisis situations providing support to individuals assisting in utilizing recovery skills providing assistance in connecting clients with local peer organizations identifying strengths to achieve individual goals and skills training. The work schedule for this position will be 7:00 pm to 7:00 am Tuesday through Friday (36-hour work week paid at 40 hours).

The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have good written and verbal communication skills general keyboarding and computer skills (including working knowledge of Microsoft Office. They will be dependable organized self-directed detail-oriented and possess the ability to interact with co-workers clients and the public in a courteous professional manner. The ability to prioritize a variety of competing responsibilities in a professional manner is critical as is experience working
with individuals with serious mental illness trauma and substance abuse. Knowledge of psychiatric medications and experience working with MARs (Medication Administration Records) is desirable.
