ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

Part of the $8bn ABM Industries group ABM UK provides high quality technical maintenance cleaningsecurityand integrated facility services to a wide client base throughout the UKand Ireland. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiasticproactiveandarticulate individual with prior publicand/or privatesector bid-writing andbid-leadingexperience within aTFMhard or soft FM (mechanical & electrical/cleaning/security) environment. You will beleadinglarge and complexFMbids for a wide range of sectors including the public sector commercial propertiestransportation distribution historic buildings and many more.A hybrid role basedatourLondonofficesandhome-based this fast-paced varied role will see you join a growing team within a rapidly expanding organisation offering excellent opportunities for advancement and career progression.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and write detailed compellinghigh-qualityand well-structured bids for proposals for hard services ensuring alignment with client requirements and organisationalobjectiveswhich describe the operational solution and key sections within ITTs and RFPs
  • Work with the Bid Writing team to createhigh-quality documents and presentations working to exact deadlines andcreating high quality winning proposalsto grow the business
  • Work with the Estimating team to develop the commercial part of each tender and you will take the priced solution throughourestablish Governance process.
  • Work within ourbid processworking closely with members ofthe business development team the operational teamsdelivering soft servicesand specialists fromacrossthe business.
  • Work with internal stakeholders technical operations and sales team to develop cost-effective and innovative solutions for client needs tailored to each bid
  • Develop relationships with prospective clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored bids that meet their expectations and requirements
  • Manage the end-to-end process ensuring deadlines are met documents arecompliantand submissions are professionally presented
  • Analyse market trends and industry standards to position our offering effectively
  • Assistin presenting bid solutions to prospective clients address queries and support the sales team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations technical and finance departments to gather relevant information and ensure the bid meets client expectations and is commerciallyviable using operational colleagues to sense check designs and work with internal teams to create innovative bid winning solutions
  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word PowerPointand Microsofts collaborative working tools supplemented by a positive attitudeflexibilityand willingness towork with a large network of colleagues across the company.
  • Beorganisedreliableandenthusiasticand able to meet autonomously and prioritising workload and the workload of othersyoulllead oursoftFM bids including solutioningwritingandreviewinghigh-qualitybidsso that they can be completed andsubmittedina timelyfashion.
  • Inresponse toclientquestions writingaccuratesuccinctand persuasivenarrative for the management and delivery of services.

This role would suit an individual whois skilled at developingsoftFM solutionsenjoys writing working in a fast-paced salesenvironmentand would like to develop theirbid leadingcapabilities.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

Excellent written English

Proven successful bid-leadexperience from within the publicorprivate sectors

Good knowledge ofthe facilities management sector

Knowledge and understanding of pricing and commercial considerations within tender response development

Proactive attitude

Time management and planning

IT skills:

o Microsoft Word

o MicrosoftPowerpoint

Understanding of Microsoft Office styles andthe application ofconsistent branding

Desirable

Shipley/APMP training or similar

Keenness for problem solving and completing projects

Knowledge of hard FM softFMand total facilities management solutions

Degree-educated or relevant qualification

Experience of line management and developing less experienced team members

Familiarity with:

o Microsoft Excel

oMicrosoftSharepoint Project Planner and Teams
