Job Summary

Job Summary:

The Porter function is to use his/her strengths to maintain a professional appearance of the body shop department and assist in the flow of maintaining an efficient shop.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

Model and uphold Anderson Auto Groups Core Values.
Serve as a positive role model and/ or teammate.
Greets customers and ascertain what each customer wants and/ or needs.
Clean interior and exterior of vehicles when necessary.
Assist with inspecting customer vehicles for any prior damage and record.
Assist in ensuring the shop is clean while keeping safety top of mind including sweeping and disposing of trash. Taking trash from shop to dumpster.
Pick up vehicles and deliver to customers when necessary.
Assist courtesy shuttle when needed.
Keep the tire rack full at all times.
Maintain supply levelshang tags plastic seat covers steering wheel covers paper floor mats rings and cleaners.
Recycle or dispose of properly- scrap metal scrap batteries cardboard boxes and scrap tires.
Maintain current training on safety for role.
Maintain certification and training for necessary programs.

Required Skills/ Abilities:

Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Some mechanical knowledge would be preferred.
Valid drivers license

Key Measurables:

Keeping the body shop department clean and presentable

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or the equivalent
Some mechanical knowledge preferred

Physical Requirements:

Ability to be on your feet at least 90% of the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Ability to learn to install truck bed liner
