Job Summary:
The Porter function is to use his/her strengths to maintain a professional appearance of the body shop department and assist in the flow of maintaining an efficient shop.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Model and uphold Anderson Auto Groups Core Values.
- Serve as a positive role model and/ or teammate.
- Greets customers and ascertain what each customer wants and/ or needs.
- Clean interior and exterior of vehicles when necessary.
- Assist with inspecting customer vehicles for any prior damage and record.
- Assist in ensuring the shop is clean while keeping safety top of mind including sweeping and disposing of trash. Taking trash from shop to dumpster.
- Pick up vehicles and deliver to customers when necessary.
- Assist courtesy shuttle when needed.
- Keep the tire rack full at all times.
- Maintain supply levelshang tags plastic seat covers steering wheel covers paper floor mats rings and cleaners.
- Recycle or dispose of properly- scrap metal scrap batteries cardboard boxes and scrap tires.
- Maintain current training on safety for role.
- Maintain certification and training for necessary programs.
Required Skills/ Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Some mechanical knowledge would be preferred.
- Valid drivers license
Key Measurables:
- Keeping the body shop department clean and presentable
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Some mechanical knowledge preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to be on your feet at least 90% of the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Ability to learn to install truck bed liner
