Lead Structural Design Engineer Offshore & Subsea Projects

Location:Houston (Energy Corridor - Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Structural Design Engineer to lead design activities for offshore and subsea projects. This role involves managing a team delivering high-quality engineering solutions and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate structural design engineering activities across projects and tenders.
Perform advanced ANSYS structural analysis and hydrodynamic calculations.
Develop and review technical documentation such as procedures reports and specifications.
Ensure deliverables meet schedule budget and quality requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams clients and subcontractors to define methodologies and resolve technical challenges.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Civil or Structural).
10 years of experience in offshore structural engineering or subsea design engineering.
Proficiency in ANSYS for structural and hydrodynamic analysis.
Strong knowledge of DNV classification standards ABS API and AISC codes.
Familiarity with offshore engineering principles risk assessment techniques and installation analysis.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Preferred

Experience with rigging design seafastening and installation engineering.
Ability to travel offshore as required for project execution.
