Job Summary
Individual is responsible for downloading customer files and outputting printing plates and all processes in between. Must set up pairing plans correctly load and monitor plate making equipment. Also must communicate with press staff to insure the plates are correct on how they will be positioned on press.
Responsibilities and Duties
Monitoring operation and maintenance of computer to plate system
READ JOB TICKET FOR EACH JOB
Outputting plates thru workflow
Communicate and support with commercial print customers as it related to files
Design publications and building of ads for print and digital customers
Design and modify customer files for printing
Insure that our press is not waiting on plates stay ahead of press schedule if we have files jobs should be plated for press
Monitor our prepress equipment for issues making sure preventative maintenance is complete in addition responsible for calling for mechanical support if equipment is not functioning properly.
Help to determine if we are using the best output methods related to the best possible quality printing
Keep maintenance log
Knowledge and Skills
Detail oriented technically inclined know workflow in Design and Mac PC computers.

Qualifications
Proficiency and solid understanding of the following programs:
Adobe Creative Suite (Specifically Adobe Acrobat InDesign and Photoshop)
Ease with navigating Google Chrome Dropbox and other essential online resources.
