Harris County Resources for Children and Adults was founded in 1966 as the Harris County Child Welfare Board to provide support services for the children taken under the wing of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Fifty years later Harris County Resources for Children and Adults still provides this support. But the now-county department has expanded services for early prevention intervention and adult services.

Brief Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the Community Youth Service (CYS) Supervisor this position will provide school based mental and behavioral health services and support.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for conducting gated assessments providing case coordination services to meet the mental health needs of students.
Responsible for providing linkages and referrals from schools police parents the community youth other agencies to resources and Tier 3 treatment services.
Participates in the districts crisis team and provide debriefing services to students and school personnel.
Responsible for entering all client documentation onto the Evolv NX database; prepares necessary paperwork and reports.
Attends all required meetings and staffing held by Harris County Resources for Children & Adults and the assigned school district.
Responsible for building relationships with community partners.

Education:
A bachelors degree majoring in Psychology Sociology Social Work Criminal Justice Counseling or closely related field.
Experience:
A minimum of one (1) year of continuous full-time paid work experience providing direct crisis counseling and case management services to youth and families.
Licensure:
Must have reliable transportation with a valid Texas drivers license and auto liability insurance.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with clients school personnel Harris County personnel and community partners
Knowledge of community resources in Harris County for youth and how to access them.
Must possess case management and documentation skills.
Must be self-motivated dependable and possess excellent time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with adolescents.
Be detailed-oriented.
Maintains strict confidentiality.
Must be highly responsible and able to work independently.
Must have the ability to handle stress in emergency situations with tact and diplomacy.
Experience with documentation in client data systems.
Experience documenting service provision electronically.

Hours: Monday -- Friday 8:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m.
Salary:
$50003.20 --$53040.00 (Annually)
Based on 26 Pay Periods
Plus Mileage Reimbursement
Work Location:
Channelview ISD
