Senior Accountant, Accounting Generalist

HelloFresh is seeking a highly organized meticulous and efficient individual to join its dynamic Finance team. This role will be instrumental in accurately recording a wide range of expenses across all company entities. Key responsibilities include managing fixed assets IFRS liabilities indirect distribution center spend and travel and entertainment expenses.

The successful candidate will provide essential support for a number of accounting functions encompassing critical tasks such as preparing and posting journal entries generating comprehensive financial reports performing detailed account reconciliations review of expense coding and classification and ensuring audit readiness. We are looking for a professional with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to thoughtful execution. This individual will not merely perform duties automatically but will proactively identify and communicate any errors or inconsistencies contributing significantly to the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.

Your responsibilities

• Month-End Closing: Prepare account reconciliations record journal entries and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
• Fixed Asset Accounting - provide assistance to team on ensuring fixed asset subledger is updated and accurate
• Assist in Fixed Asset creation and coding with the FA subledger
• Assist in tracking when assets are placed into service and adjusting the FA subledger
• Support Workday Procurement system and analyzing Purchase Order and Purchase Requisition data
• Support review of general ledger transaction detail for correct classification of expenses
• Reporting: assist with managing monthly scheduled reporting across department
• Other duties as assigned.

At a minimum you have...

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
• 3 years professional accounting experience with a public accounting firm or mid to large size company (> $100 million revenue);
• Experience with food/manufacturing/ ecommerce industries preferred.
• Detailed understanding of month end closing processes and thorough IFRS expertise
• Strong MS Office skills (Word Excel etc.) required.
• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion is a plus.
• Strong English language competency & communication skills
