Job Summary
Description
A reputable manufacturing company based in Ethekwini KwaZulu-Natal is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager with a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance within a fast-paced production environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled and reliable professional to ensure the smooth operation of plant machinery minimize downtime and contribute to overall efficiency and safety. If you have hands-on experience in equipment installation fault finding and preventative maintenance in a manufacturing environment we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical electrical and hydraulic faults and perform repairs as required.
- Replace and repair faulty components to minimize downtime.
- Document all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Order parts and materials from suppliers to support maintenance work.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean safe work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
