Science Teacher Romford January 2026 Full Time Permanent

A large and well-established secondary school in Romford is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join their expanding Science faculty from January 2026. The Role

  • Teach Science across KS3 and KS4 delivering engaging and well-structured lessons

  • Contribute to departmental development through curriculum innovation and resource sharing

  • Use data effectively to monitor progress identify gaps and tailor interventions

  • Encourage a love of learning through practical experiments enrichment clubs and STEM activities

  • Maintain excellent classroom management aligned with school policies

  • Participate in whole-school initiatives CPD programmes and parental engagement

There may also be opportunities to teach A-Level Biology Chemistry or Physics for candidates with relevant experience or specialism.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Science-related degree

  • PGCE QTS or equivalent qualification

  • Strong pedagogical understanding and commitment to evidence-based practice

  • Ability to inspire pupils of all backgrounds and abilities

Salary

This role is paid in line with the national pay scale (MPS/UPS) with potential TLR responsibilities available for suitable candidates.
