Position Summary

The Project Engineering Manager leads the engineering lifecycle across pre-sales and post-sales phases ensuring successful planning execution and delivery of engineering projects. This role requires strong technical depth cross-functional coordination leadership capabilities and hands-on project engineering knowledge. The manager will interface directly with customers define technical requirements lead internal engineering teams and ensure high-quality project commissioning aligned with customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution
  • Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope schedule resources and budgets.

  • Define goals and deliverables aligned with business and customer needs.

  • Oversee engineering design development installation configuration and commissioning activities.

  • Ensure adherence to engineering quality standards and compliance requirements.

Team Leadership & Coordination
  • Lead and mentor Project Engineers and technical staff.

  • Collaborate with internal teams: design production QA operations suppliers and customers.

  • Conduct regular project meetings status updates and issue-resolution discussions.

Budget & Resource Management
  • Prepare and manage project budgets with cost-efficient planning.

  • Allocate resources effectively optimizing staff and equipment utilization.

  • Monitor expenditure and implement cost-control measures.

Risk & Issue Management
  • Identify technical and execution risks; develop mitigation strategies.

  • Resolve engineering and project issues promptly.

  • Ensure compliance with safety industry and operational standards.

Quality Assurance
  • Supervise QA processes to ensure all deliverables meet engineering specifications.

  • Implement best practices for engineering workflows and project management.

Stakeholder & Client Communication
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all project communications.

  • Present progress updates performance metrics and technical documentation.

  • Manage client expectations and handle changes in scope.

Candidate Requirements Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical Civil Mechanical or related field).

  • Masters degree or PE license is a plus.

Certifications (Preferred)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.

  • Certifications in engineering methodologies or project management processes.

  • Experience with OSI Monarch or GE e-terra is a strong plus.

Required Experience
  • 5 7 years of engineering experience including 3 years in project management or leadership roles.

  • Experience managing small teams of Project Engineers or Delivery Managers.

  • Proven success delivering complex engineering or energy projects.

  • Background in SCADA EMS or Control Room applications is highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with GE OSI or control room platforms.

Technical Skills
  • Project management software (MS Project Primavera).

  • SCADA & EMS system knowledge.

  • GE / OSI software platforms.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Excellent communication documentation and technical writing skills.

  • Experience with engineering tools and software relevant to power systems.

Desired Experience
  • Exposure to:

    • EV chargers & controllers

    • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

    • Solar or energy efficiency technologies

  • Salesforce experience is a plus.
