System Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 1 3 technical support for production systems including Linux servers networking and system-level services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance configuration networking and storage.
  • Monitor overall system health and performance using system monitoring tools.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple open issues simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to document best practices and expand the internal and external knowledge base.
  • Follow up with clients after troubleshooting to ensure full system functionality.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including manuals and support notes.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships ensuring a professional and positive support experience.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
  • Strong Linux administration skills especially in mission-critical environments.
  • Experience with system performance monitoring tools.
  • Solid networking knowledge including firewalls VPNs TCP/IP troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Basic database understanding including SQL querying and troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience in roles such as Technical Support Engineer Desktop Support Engineer or IT Help Desk Technician.
  • Exceptional communication troubleshooting and customer service skills.
  • Highly motivated organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
