Job Summary

Position: IAM Engineer

Type: Long-term contract-9 years

Location: Linthicum heights MD

Work mode: onsite 2-3 day onsite

Interview: In person at Linthicum heights-MD

Locals required with Government experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • A. Performing business strategic systems planning information planning and analysis.
  • B. Performing process and data modelling in support of the planning and analysis efforts using both manual and automated tools (such as I-CASE tools);
  • C. Applying reverse engineering and re-engineering disciplines to develop migration strategic and planning documents.
  • D. Providing technical guidance in software engineering techniques and automated support tools.
  • E. Lead the architecture design and development of secure Identity Access Management (IAM) solutions across enterprise platforms with a focus on SailPoint and ForgeRock in cloud environments.
  • F. Develop and enforce IAM best practices for application and system integration aligned with security and compliance standards.
  • G. Architect and implement advanced user onboarding workflows automated provisioning processes and certification campaigns for access governance.
  • H. Design and maintain APls and scripts that support core IAM functionalities and automate administrative tasks securely.
  • I. Configure and manage ForgeRock web/J2EE policy plugins and maintain associated access resource policies.
  • J. Integrate IAM solutions with Active Directory and other identity stores to support centralized identity lifecycle management.
  • K. Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 IAM platform support and troubleshoot escalated issues involving entitlements roles and account provisioning.
  • L. Administer ForgeRock OpenAM and OpenDJ environments including installation configuration and platform tuning.
  • M. Develop and deploy SailPoint integrations including custom workflows rule creation and attribute mapping.
  • N. Monitor and optimize IAM platform components and infrastructure usage to maintain system performance and availability.
  • O. Implement and manage secure access models based on role-based access control (RBAC) entitlements and access reviews.
  • P. Leverage AWS services and cloud-native practices to enhance IAM scalability availability and compliance across cloud accounts.
  • Q. Mentor junior engineers and analysts on IAM best practices tools and techniques to build internal technical capabilities.
  • R. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align IAM implementations with broader security and business strategies; and
  • S. Communicate technical solutions clearly to developers administrators and non-technical audiences to ensure shared understanding and alignment.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • The proposed candidate must have at least two (2) years of experience in information systems development functional and data requirement analysis systems analysis and design programming program design and documentation preparation
  • A. At least two years of hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityNow or ForgeRock IAM platform implementation and support;
  • B. Proven ability to develop IAM-related integrations and workflows for cloud and on-premises systems.
  • C. Experience performing compliance-driven access certifications and entitlements audits in a secure enterprise environment; and
  • D. Demonstrated expertise supporting secure application deployments within AWS and managing IAM-related infrastructure in a multi-account cloud setup

General Experience

  • The proposed candidate must have at least five (5) years of experience in engineering systems analysis design and programming:
  • A. Experience designing building and maintaining IAM platforms within enterprise and/or cloud environments.
  • B. Strong background in scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell Python) to support task automation and secure data processing; and
  • C. Familiarity with identity lifecycle management authentication and authorization models and enterprise directory services.
