Penrose - St. Francis Health Services is a full-service 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprising Penrose Hospital St. Francis Hospital and St. Francis Hospital - Interquest. Penrose Hospital serves as the anchor hospital of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services with 300-licensed beds and the ability to provide tertiary (high tech) medical-surgical services with an emphasis on elective and outpatient care. Established in 1890 Penrose Hospital has grown to become a major health treatment and referral center specializing in cancer care cardiac care emergency trauma care and physical rehabilitation. Job Description:
- Collaborates with the Spiritual Care team to provide pastoral care services to patients and their family members.
- Responds to urgent situations (codes or death) at the request or referral of administrative coordinators nurses family etc.
- Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day qualified candidates will need the following:
- Bachelors degree in spiritual care arts or equivalent required
- Masters degree in spiritual care or related field preferred
- One (1) unit of CPE or enroll in our internal Clinical Pastoral
Orientation and complete 1 unit of CPE within one year - Four (4) units of CPE preferred
- Current Board Certified Chaplain documentation required
- One year in pastoral ministry preferred
